Sales Trader - Nordic Markets

We’re seeking a qualified sales and business developer to increase our activity and generate new leads in the Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland). The candidate should be excited about the prospect of finding and contacting new leads, building relationships, and challenging companies to improve their renewable energy and sustainability strategies. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with proven negotiating skills, and interest in the renewable energy and/or sustainability sector more largely.

Objectives of this Role

  • Generating new business opportunities to fuel our growth
  • Prioritize strategic target account lists within the Nordic region
  • Build and manage the portfolio of Nordic clients (including contacting new prospects and following up existing ones)
  • Form relationships and find business opportunities
  • Research and develop new potential fields for business, based on technical, legal or business developments

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Consult companies on their sustainability goals by offering our products and services
  • Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities
  • Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge
  • Constantly develop knowledge of corporate sustainability best practices and climate action
  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure company quotas and standards are being met, performing market research
  • Conduct on-site meetings and discussions with potential customers about their needs

Skills and Qualifications

  • Fluent in one of the Scandinavian languages (Norwegian, Danish or Swedish) and English
  • Finnish, Icelandic, German or other languages may be a plus
  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • 2-3 years of full-time experience in either sales, business development, sustainability or in the renewable energy sector
  • Ability to understand customer needs and be very solution-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • A motivated, driven, and self-starting attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
